[Objective]To understand prevalence of tuberculosis(TB) and awareness of knowledge about TB control among students who have been in close contact with a person who has TB,provide the basis for making TB control measures in school.[Methods]The epidemiological survey was conducted among TB patients(students and teachers) who were regarded as the clue.TB screening was performed in close contacts,and other students were selected as the control group.The purified protein derivative of tuberculin(PPD) test was conducted firstly,and the students with strong positive results were given chest X-ray inspection.The students who had the TB-like symptoms were given sputum mycobacterium tuberculosis detection and chest X-ray inspection.The awareness rate of Five Core Tips about TB Control was investigated.[Results]The TB prevalence of close contacts in 2 years was 9.95%,which was higher than that of other students(0.46%).The awareness rate of Five Core Tips about TB Control of students was lower than that of TB patients.[Conclusion]The low awareness rate of knowledge and policy about TB control of students is main reason of epidemic of TB in schools.The essential and effective measure for controlling TB in schools is the chest X-ray inspection in people with strong positive results of PPD screening.
[Objectives]To understand and analyze the awareness of Hepatitis B prevention knowledge among employees with different education levels in catering trade of Shijiazhuang city.[Methods]With stratified cluster random sampling method,4065 employees in catering trade who were HBsAg negative were investigated by questionnaire.[Results]The awareness rate of the Hepatitis B knowledge showed the positive correlation and the quantity relative ratio relationship with the level of education,but there was no significant difference in some knowledge and methods(χ2=16.707,P0.01).[Conclusion]The specific education of Hepatitis B prevention knowledge should be strengthened. The different methods of health education should be adopted among people with different education levels,in order to improve the protection consciousness of employees and decrease the infection rate of Hepatitis B.
[Objective]To evaluate the implement effect of World Bank loaned/DFID granted China tuberculosis control project in Shijiazhuang.[Methods]According to the requirements of China Tuberculosis Program Implementation Guide,all works were implemented seriously.The routine monitoring data and various reports of 23 conuties and districts of this city from 2002 to 2008 were collected and analyzed.[Results]25 316 cases of smear-positive TB were detected in 7 years.The registration rate of smear-positive patients increased from 24.52/100 000 in 2002 to 41.67/100 000 in 2009,increased by 16.85/100 000.There were 22 210 cases of smear-positive TB in the initial treatment.The male peak age was 35~55 years old,and female peak age was 15~35 years old.The cure rate was 96.9%.The patients visited hospital actively accounted for 60.59% of suspicious patients.The tracing rate in 2005 and 2008 was 65.56% and 71.26%,respectively.[Conclusion]The rich experiences were accumulated in the implementation of the project,all works achieved remarkable progress.This project provides powerful support for the effective development of tuberculosis control in Shijiazhuang in further.
