ABSTRACT Cave tourism in Vietnam is a rapidly growing sector, yet the gap between pre‐visit expectations and post‐visit satisfaction remains under‐researched. This study employs a dual‐method exploratory approach, integrating purposive focus group discussions (Expectations) with big data analytics from Google Maps reviews (Satisfaction). The findings reveal a significant alignment‐disjunction dynamic: while tourists experience high satisfaction and strong alignment regarding natural beauty and adventure, a notable disjunction exists in cost transparency and destination management. This disjunction is further exacerbated by expectation inflation driven by digital media imagery. Conceptually, this research extends the Expectancy–Disconfirmation Theory (EDT) and SERVQUAL framework by mapping these psychological gaps. Practically, it provides a strategic framework for destination managers to synchronize promotional narratives with operational realities, ensuring sustainable management in emerging nature‐based destinations.
In the era ofglobalized higher education, emotionally and socially intelligent leadership is essential for cultivating inclusive environments. This study uses partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) on a sample of 306 international students in South Korea to investigate how emotional intelligence (EI) and social intelligence (SI) drive transformational leadership (TL) and a supportive learning environment (SE). The results demonstrate that both EI (beta = 0.122, p = 0.027) and SI (beta = 0.679, p < 0.001) are powerful predictors of TL, with SI exerting a dominant influence. Furthermore, TL serves as a critical driver of SE (beta = 0.539, p < 0.001) and significantly mediates the impact of both types of intelligence on the student experience. These findings establish that social and emotional fluency are foundational requirements for effective leadership. This research provides a definitive framework for universities to enhance international student engagement and academic success through intelligence-driven, transformational leadership.
Rural tourism strategies in underdeveloped countries have gained popularity in recent years due to rural tourism’s significance in the sustainable development of society. Thus, by integrating affective event theory in the context of rural tourism, the present study underscores the formation of tourists’ loyalty to rural tourist destinations based on the perspectives of affective atmosphere and memorable tourism experience for rural tourist destinations. Drawing on 541 valid samples from tourists to Xidi and Hongcun, which are famous rural tourist destinations in China, both SEM and fsQCA were employed to capture the linear effects and configurational pathways leading to tourists’ loyalty to rural tourist destinations. The results indicate that conviviality, therapeutics, authenticity, and playfulness significantly enhance tourists’ memorable tourism experience, which subsequently strengthens their loyalty to rural tourist destinations. Complementing these findings, the fsQCA results reveal multiple equifinal and causally asymmetrical configurations associated with high loyalty. Through the combined use of symmetric and asymmetric approaches, this study offers a more holistic understanding of the formation of destination loyalty and provides theoretically grounded and practically meaningful insights for rural tourism development and strategic destination management.
With the dramatic development of 5G technology, Internet of Things (IoT), and other technologies, the traditional offline market has been gradually altered with applying technologies to improve their efficient or cost-performance. The unmanned stores have been one of the significant and popular forms. To maintain the sustainable development of this retail form, it is essential to know what factors to foster and the mechanism of the formation of customers’ loyalty. Thus, the present study was performed to explore what the selection attributes of unmanned stores are and examine how these attributes impact on the formation of customers’ loyalty through their perceived value and satisfaction. Structural equation modeling was applied with a valid sample of 350 respondents to testify the casual relationship among research variables. As results, it was found that practicality (β = 0.229, t = 3.164, p < 0.01) and convenience (β = 0.152, t = 2.044, p < 0.05) of unmanned stores have positive influence on their perceived value. Moreover, practicality (β = 0.164, t = 2.392, p < 0.05), cleanliness (β = 0.198, t = 3.595, p < 0.001), and pleasantness (β = 0.337, t = 4.722, p < 0.001) could positively impact on their satisfaction. Both perceived value (β = 0.151 t = 2.366, p < 0.05) and satisfaction (β = 0.123, t = 2.023, p < 0.05) could contribute to the formation of their loyalty to unmanned stores. Finally, the moderating effect of social risk has been examined. Consequently, the casual relationships confirmed among research variables could provide insights for the service improvement of unmanned stores from the perspectives of the selection attributes of unmanned stores and customers perceived value.
Purpose Work–family balance has become one of the primary job considerations in recent years. For enterprises, the psychological behavior of employees has also received greater attention. This research aims to reveal how work–family balanced human resource practices (WFB-HRP) influence employees’ performance through psychological capital and how such influence was moderated by differentiated leader–member exchange (DLMX). Design/methodology/approach Data were collected through a structured survey of 2,197 employees. The relationships among WFB-HRP, psychological capital, DLMX and employee performance were analyzed to understand the direct and indirect effects. Findings The findings reveal a positive association between WFB-HRP and employee performance, mediated by psychological capital. Moreover, DLMX moderates both the direct influence of WFB-HRP on employee performance and its indirect effect through psychological capital. Specifically, greater DLMX strengthens the impact of WFB-HRP on employee performance via psychological capital. Research limitations/implications The research seeks to contribute to understanding how organizational practices influence employee performance in the context of work–family balance, with particular attention to the interplay of psychological factors and leadership dynamics. Practical implications This research underscores the importance of implementing work-family balanced HR practices for enhancing employee performance. Moreover, it highlights the significance of fostering positive psychological capital among employees and cultivating differentiated leader–member exchange to maximize the effectiveness of WFB-HRP initiatives. Originality/value This study contributes to the literature by elucidating the mechanisms through which WFB-HRP influences employee performance, emphasizing the pivotal roles of psychological capital and DLMX. The findings offer practical insights for organizations seeking to optimize their HR practices and leadership strategies to unlock high performance in the workplace.
The increasing adoption of healthcare devices necessitates a deeper understanding of the factors that influence user acceptance in this rapidly evolving area. Therefore, this study examined the factors influencing the technology acceptance of healthcare devices, focusing on radar sensors and wearable devices. A total of 1158 valid responses were used to test hypotheses, mediation, and moderation effects using SmartPLS 4.0. The results highlighted the significant role of performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, facilitating conditions, and perceived risk in shaping user attitudes and trust, which in turn influence behavioral intention. The findings suggested that attitudes fully mediate the effects of performance expectancy and effort expectancy on behavioral intention, while social influence, facilitating conditions, and perceived risk exhibit partial mediation. Moderation analysis revealed significant effects of generation on the relationship between attitude, trust, and behavioral intention. Additionally, device type moderated the effect of trust on behavioral intention, showing a different influence between radar sensors and wearable devices. These findings provide theoretical contributions by extending the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) model and offering practical implications for manufacturers and policymakers to tailor strategies that foster positive attitudes, enhance trust, and address generational and device-specific differences in healthcare technology adoption.
