Product data management (PDM) and enterprise resources planning(ERP) are the main technology supports on which enterprises enhance their competitive force. How to implement the efficient integration between two systems is a critical problem to be solved in the manufacturing enterprises. In this paper, the necessity of PDM and ERP system integration is pointed out, and the integrating data contents and data exchange process between two systems are analyzed. The integration methods of two systems are introduced, and the integration method based on intermediate file XML is emphatically discussed, and the application example is given.
A prototype of web based computer aided fixture design (CAFD) system is presented. It is implemented based on the UML ICONIX process and the functions and interrelations of the system object classes are worked out by using case diagram, class diagram, robustness diagram and sequence diagram.
In recent years, much has been achieved in the development of CAD, CAPP and CAM techniques of CIMS, but little has been done in the study of fixture automatic design technology based on CAD model, especially of modular fixture automatic assembly technology. This paper introduces the concept of valid surface and valid path, and establishes the rapid modular fixture assembly model. It also presents the functional structure and the algorithmic flow of fixture assembly, and provides a feasible method to modular fixture automatic assembly.
