Consciousness arises from physical and geometric constraints, yet the nature of phenomenality remains unresolved. A conceptual and mechanistic framework links self-intending projection to phenomenal consciousness. Based on Dynamic Organicity Theory, this materialist framework posits that quantum effects underlie phenomenality. Moving beyond representational models, Embedded Quantum Physicalism (EQP) offers a multiscale, non-reductive approach in which consciousness is naturalized through effective processes embedded within the brain’s functional geometry. This geometry evolves through functional interactions that constrain internal states, while its curvature organizes agential holons and intrinsic information into self-referential loops, enabling intentional closure via self-intending projections. Reflexivity alone is insufficient; intrinsic intentionality emerges from these loops and provides the necessary condition for consciousness. Under EQP, phenomenality is not an ontological primitive but a physically instantiated phenomenon. Unlike reductive accounts that reduce consciousness to neural correlates or dismiss it as epiphenomenal, EQP traces phenomenality to thermo-quantum fluctuations in the brain’s biochemistry, which reshape functional geometry. This geometry supports effective processes, including projections, holonomies, and projective closure. Toroidal-like neuropil microcavities enter coherent quasipolaritonic modes through quantum-optical effects, involving delocalized information systems that transform intrinsic information. Phenomenality arises when stable agential holons form self-intending projections with projective closure, embodied in a Weyl-like, non-Euclidean functional geometry shaped by effective quantum potentials acting as lensing mechanisms at small scales in the neuropil.
The fine structure of consciousness is temporally experienced. This makes possible a dynamic organicity theory of consciousness through disunified order in the pre-, sub- and noncognitive levels of causal processes and dynamics. This multilevel approach is based on functional systems where space is implicitly grounded as changeable boundary conditions (due to organicity), and energy capture and storage under energy flow entail structuring intrinsic information (as both hidden thermodynamic energy and hidden thermodynamic information). The use of anaesthesia indicates consciousness disappears when there is an obliteration of intrinsic information within membrane protein amino acids, suggesting that quantum-thermal fluctuations of the electromagnetic field can be functional and non-vacuous. The origin of thermo-qubit syn-tax is derived from the principle of self-reference as the syntax of consciousness. In addition to the classical Brownian motion of macroscopically observable mean values, the negentropically derived quantum potential is an additional degree of freedom where the structuring of intrinsic information takes place by negentropic action from the microscopically random quantum-thermal fluctuations. Such functional fluctuations provide a way for intentionality to come in from spontaneous ordering, leading to path selection as an instruction to act. The resultant intentionality becomes part of information-based action when functional interactions are selected and boundary conditions change, causing interference pattern matching through temporal re-organization of informational redundancy structures (not used in functional interactions). The self-referential dynamic structures (of evolving informational holons) transform syntac-tic structures into experienceable forms. In comparing the interference patterns of functional interactions during restructuring informational redundancy structures, the functionality of multiscale complexity as functional systems patterns gives experienceable forms the potential to understand “meaning” by reducing uncertainty in the process of structuring intrinsic information. The self-reference principle establishes dynamical pathways from the microscale to the macroscale (this includes nonlocal pathways), in which diachronic causation and how the disunity of causal order in the redundancy creates a weak unity of consciousness through its temporal structure, which has an inferred purpose that gives rise to a sense of self.
The Dynamic Organicity Theory (DOT) explains consciousness as a process that cannot be reduced to a thing or a structure. This process, called the Polanyian process, involves the evolving diachronic boundary conditions of our experienceability. These boundary conditions are ontologically intertwined with higher-level boundary conditions, which lead to physiological nonlocal cause-and-effect relationships. Thus, adaptive changes occur when self-referential causal closure transforms syntactic structures into experienceable forms. Self-referential causal closure is a causal agent for diachronic boundary conditions that majorly structure intrinsic information in ways that experienceabilities are across time, suggesting that consciousness is not driven by an “internal clock” or regular biological rhythm but rather by intrinsic intentionality preceding path selection through a non-mechanical force of hidden thermodynamic energy that cascades to form a volitional agency of information-based action due to the gain of hidden intrinsic information. The process of transforming syntactical structures to experienceable forms in intrinsic informational pathways is conflated with nonlinear time, and its structuring defines the functionality of the brain. Consciousness-in-the-moment is an “averaging out” between different informational pathways involved across such nonlinear time. The transduction of quantum potential information as negentropic action is a motif for “potential complexity” to decrease the maximum complexity (derived from the brain structure, dynamics, and function) due to the reduction of uncertainty. Given that the functionality of maximum complexity lacks the self-referential causal closure to be a volitional agent needed for precognitive consciousness, it is proposed that negentropic entanglement unifies experienceabilities so that the functionality of multiscale complexity is greater than the functionality of maximum complexity. This may be enough to produce consciousness in organic systems.
Consciousness is the ability to have intentionality, which is a process that operates at various temporal scales. To qualify as conscious, an artificial device must express functionality capable of solving the Intrinsicality problem, where experienceable form or syntax gives rise to understanding 'meaning' as a noncontextual dynamic prior to language. This is suggestive of replacing the Hard Problem of consciousness to build conscious artificial intelligence (AI) Developing model emulations and exploring fundamental mechanisms of how machines understand meaning is central to the development of minimally conscious AI. It has been shown by Alemdar and colleagues [New insights into holonomic brain theory: implications for active consciousness. Journal of Multiscale Neuroscience 2 (2023), 159-168] that a framework for advancing artificial systems through understanding uncertainty derived from negentropic action to create intentional systems entails quantum-thermal fluctuations through informational channels instead of recognizing (cf., introspection) sensory cues through perceptual channels. Improving communication in conscious AI requires both software and hardware implementation. The software can be developed through the brain-machine interface of multiscale temporal processing, while hardware implementation can be done by creating energy flow using dipole-like hydrogen ion (proton) interactions in an artificial 'wetwire' protonic filament. Machine understanding can be achieved through memristors implemented in the protonic 'wetwire' filament embedded in a real-world device. This report presents a blueprint for the process, but it does not cover the algorithms or engineering aspects, which need to be conceptualized before minimally conscious AI can become operational.
We define precognitive affect, composed of information holding dispositional states, as noncontextual, rudimentary building blocks of subjective intentionality. We take on a psychodynamic approach to intentional agency. Intentions unfold into actions in animate thermodynamics reducing subjective uncertainty by negentropic action. They are intentions in action carrying meaning in species having complex protein interactions with various regulated gene sets. In particular, the unfolding of intentionality in terms of biological purpose introduced by subjective functioning allows for a satisfactory account of subjective intentionality. The underlying experience of acting paves the way for understanding meaning of precognitive affect from subjective functioning. Therefore, the brain’s subjective intentionality as the underlying experience of acting is embedded in a negentropic “consciousness code” of “hidden” thermodynamic energy. It is the negentropically-derived quantum potential energy in the unified functioning of brain consciousness at the macroscopic scale. While at the mesoscopic scale, Schrödinger processes create boundary conditions for negentropic action to inform the intentional agency.
The relevance of the Two-Brains Hypothesis for induction between peripheral Schwann cells and their axon hosts and for intra- and trans-cranial bioengineering at the humanrobotics interface is accompanied by particular attention to its significance for a biological wonder: the involvement of geomagnetism in avian directional behavior in migration, homing and navigation. Two sources of magnetism are considered here. The simpler is the polar (compass) direction, long reported as resulting in some birds in a manner unknown from the presence of magnetite (Fe3O4) in the avian ethmoid region. The second is certain chemical reactions that respond to applied magnetic fields. These usually involve radicals, molecules with unpaired electrons that spin in one of two possible states. A radicalpair mechanism, a light-dependent, chemical initiation of magnetic orientation, has been considered responsive to the axial inclination of the field in relation to Earth's field, but not to its polarity. The initiation is by optic but nonvisually responsive cellular absorption of a photon of a specific wavelength. Radical pairs are short-lived and must be correctly aligned in the host receptors for directional sensitivity. The firmest evidence for the radical-pair theory of magneto-reception in birds remains the cryptochromes, the blue-light absorbing flavoproteins, but the receptor molecule has not been identified yet. Subjective thought and consciousness are also unexplained in birds, as in humans and animals. However, the novel, structured dichotomy of the Two-Brains Hypothesis may provide a fresh, biophysical approach to the connection between geomagnetism, life and the evolution of vertebrate translocation without recourse to philosophy or a universe expanding beyond imagination.

This paper proposes biophysical principles for why geometric holonomic effects through the geometric vector potential are sentient when harmonized by quantized magnetic vector potential in phase-space. These biophysical principles are based on molecular level electromagnetic resonances in partially holistic molecules where nonintegrated information acts as the consciousness process’s conduit—using the informational structure of physical feelings as a transition into subjectivity. The transformation of internal energies from potential to kinetic as ‘concealed’ motion may measure the causal capacity required to bridge causality for conscious experience. Conformational transitions produce bond-breaking, resulting in boundary conditions and limiting the molecular wavefunction to a partially holistic molecular environment with molecular holonomic effects. The van der Waals energy increases protein conformational activity (re-arrangement of bonds), causing energy transfer and information in protein-protein interactions across the cerebral cortex through the energy transduction process. Energy transitions predetermine molecular level electromagnetic resonances in aromatic residues of amino acids. The energy sharing between various nested molecular level electromagnetic resonances interacting with the intermolecular adhesion of London forces at the nexus between phospholipids and the lipophilic proteins has a key role in constraining the release of energy resulting in a vast array of information-based action through negentropic entanglement. Such information structure, passing from the objectivity of holonomic effects stemming from molecular level electromagnetic resonances, has an inherent ambiguity since meaning cannot be related to context, which constitutes preconscious experienceability. The transition from potentiality to actuality where Coulombic force is expressed as a smear of possible experiences where carriers of evanescent meanings instantly actualize through intermittent dispersion interactions as conscious experiences and return to potentiality in preconscious experienceabilities.
We define quantum analogs as vibrational excitations of quasiparticles coupled to electromagnetically-mediated resonance energy transfer in water (a crystal lattice). This paper addresses how neural magnetic resonance spectra of the brain’s magnetic field influence dipolar oscillation waves in crystal lattices of interfacial water molecules to produce correlates of phenomenal consciousness. We explore dipolar oscillation waves in hydrophobic protein cavities of aromatic amino acids as a conduit for coherent propagation of vibrational excitation and hydrogen bond distortion associated with phase coherence present in the magnetic field intensity oscillations at a frequency at which the energy switches from its trapped form as excited phonon states to free, cavity-mode magnetic field energy states. A quasi-polaritons that reflect “hydro-ionic waves” is a macroscopic quantum effect of crystal lattice vibrations, consisting of vibron polaritons coupled to ions across the neocortex, except the cerebellum, due to the absence of protein-protein interactions. They are quantum-like at the core and hence can exhibit quantum-like signaling properties when resonant energy is transferred as dipolar waves in hydrophobic protein cavities of aromatic amino acids. This is due to aromatic residue flexibility in molecular electromagnetic resonances. Finally, the archetypal molecular patterning of conscious experiences, which carries an inherent ambiguity necessary for non-contextually applying ‘meaning’ that encompasses cognitive signatures of conscious experience, satisfies the nature of quantum analogs and their transmutative properties.
Stress alters neuroendocrine, autonomic, and behavioral processes to cope well with perceived threats that compromise subjective wellbeing. Just as the perception of risk can change the structure and function of brain circuitry, which may result in enduring behavioral changes. There needs to be a greater understanding of how the brain reacts to stress-related disorders and discern how the adaptation mechanisms of the central nervous system under acute stress, as well as how stressinduced adaptation mechanisms are altered under chronic stress conditions that may induce plasticity-related changes in the brain. During this interaction, the brain becomes more capable of resolving stress in a way that is either adaptive or maladaptive, leaving the most critical deficit in the emotion regulation associated with risk for pathological conditions. The essence of this associated risk involves the reciprocal influence between hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal function, the relay nucleus within the amygdala reactivation, and the hippocampus as essential structures associated with the forebrain pathways mediating stress-induced hormones, and the gammaaminobutyric acid neurotransmitter system as key mechanisms of regulating stress. Understanding how related emotional experiences occur on the neural level and their impact on cognition and behavior entail tracing the interaction between the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis, the hormones released by these structures, and the neuroendocrine system's reactivity to stress. The interaction between threat-sensitive brain circuitry and the neuroendocrine stress system is crucial to understanding how related emotions arise on the neural level and their impact on cognition and behavior. The hypothalamicpituitary-adrenal axis is critical in regulating the synthesis and release of endocrine hormones through its interactions with these structures, collectively referred to as the stress response. The stress system is described in its anatomy and physiology and connections to other brain areas and endocrine systems. We explore the current evidence linking stress with pathophysiologic mechanisms implicated in stressful conditions affecting the neuronal circuitry between endocrine, metabolic, gastrointestinal, and immune systems. Examining the biopsychological contributions provides a conceptual framework for understanding the emergence of emotions and stress-related behaviors.

The current action potential paradigm considers that all components beneath the neuron membrane are inconsequential. Filamentary communication is less known to the ionic signal transmission; recently, we have proposed that the two are intimately linked through time domains. We modified the atom probe-connected dielectric resonance scanner to operate in two-time domains, milliseconds and microseconds simultaneously for the first time. We resonate the ions for imaging rather than neutralizing them as patch clamps do; resonant transmission images the ion flow 103 times faster than the existing methods. We revisited action potential-related events by scanning in and around the axon initial segment (AIS). Four ordered structures in the cytoskeletal filaments exchange energy ~250 μs before a neuron fires, editing spike-time-gap—key to the brain’s cognition. We could stop firing above a threshold or initiate a fire by wirelessly pumping electromagnetic signals. We theoretically built AIS, whose simulated electromagnetic energy exchange matched the experiment. Thus far, the scanner could detect & link uncorrelated biological events unfolding over 106 orders in the time scale simultaneously. Our experimental findings support a new dielectric resonator model of neuron functioning in various time domains, thus suggesting the dynamic anatomy of electrical activity as information-rich.
The purpose is to estimate the effectiveness of electrocardiograms during resting and active participation by the differentiation between the electrical activity of the heart while standing and sitting in a resting state. The concern is to identify the electrocardiogram parameters that did not show significant changes within these positions. The electrocardiogram parameters can be considered to be a standard marker for medically compromised patients. The electrocardiogram is recorded in the standing and sitting positions focusing on healthy participants using standard electrode placement of lead-I. Combined lead-I patterns (camel-hump or ST-segment prolongation) are usually seen in neurologic injury or hypothermia patients. The pairwise comparisons of a year data are about 454,400 cycles of sitting and 493,470 cycles of standing data. Thus, it is essential to quantify the nature and magnitude of changes seen in the electrocardiogram with a change of posture from sitting to standing in a healthy individual. This makes the findings of electrocardiogram analysis in this paper interesting in which some parameters (i.e., camel-hump patterns in lead-I) are helpful for clinical interpretations and could be suggestive of neurologic injury.
We review the neurological bases of emotions and anxiety-related behavior, integrating contributions from the medical, biological, cognitive neuroscience, and psychological sciences. In particular, we discuss recent affective neuroscience of anxiety-related neurological circuits and metabolic-neuroendocrine systems and their dynamic interaction. This interaction is a delicate process during which can render the brain more capable of reacting to anxiety in adaptive or maladaptive into the most critical deficit in emotional regulation associated with risk for psychopathological conditions. The essence of this associated risk involves the reciprocal influence between hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal function, the relay nucleus within the amygdala reactivation, and the hippocampus as essential structures associated with the forebrain pathways mediating threat-induced hormones and the γ-aminobutyric acid neurotransmitter system as central to the regulation of anxiety. To understand how related emotional experience occurs on the neural level and its impact on cognition and behavior requires mapping the multi-step process of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis and the hormones released by each of these structures through interactions between threat-sensitive brain circuitry and the responsivity of neuroendocrine fear-system.
It is a century-old view that experiential philosophies are not compatible with materialism. In the contextual inconsistency with the reality, that matter is inertly acquiring only a single physical state, philosophers have gained ground in metaphysical beliefs, including dualism, monism, and idealism. We show that a new foundational self-referential identity theory of the mind is needed to bridge the explanatory gap. Panexperiential materialism is a new materialistic framework originating in the spectral domain of matter-wave energy quanta transcending the barrier of thermoquantal information, isomorphically aligning with consciousness. The holistic nature of its instantiation is panexperiential due to the composite states of non-inert matter, depending crucially on their interrelations without embracing essentialist ontology, further entwined with epistemic teleofunctionalism and informational relationalism, and based on the research agenda, concepts, and shared values of quantum chemistry. Panexperiential materialism is characterized by a spectral matter-wave structure, which is conjugate to the prescriptive structural properties of the spacetime domain. Yet panexperiential materialism is not contrary to ordinary materialism, although the latter may be fundamentally grounded in molecular networks. The phenomenology of consciousness is not merely a mental reification in the first-person perspective. The proper guideline should be the reduction of conscious processes to non-reductive physical correlates in the brain. The wet and hot environment of the brain affords quantum-thermal correlations in a transcending energy processing zone where quantum and classical fluctuations are fused to thermoquantal information. The quantum chemical basis incorporates non-self-adjoint analytic extensions in Liouville space and associated Fourier-Laplace transforms that conjoin energy, time, entropy, and temperature. The transformation across hierarchical thermodynamical domains is caused by the negentropic gain wholly implicated by the entropy production arising in the energy exchange resulting in the transformation of information forming informational holarchies, driven by nonlocal teleological mechanisms. The information transformation from the objective to the subjective is a process that is quantum in nature. The process of non-integrated information, actualizing the information-based action as a teleological process of cognition in the entailment of preconscious experientialities, should not be conflated with the experience itself, but rather as an isomorphic connection between mind and brain via the Fourier-Laplace transformation. Our holistic viewpoint denies the existence of integrated information as an emergentist ontology, instead advocating the canonical transformations B and B dagger as the syntax or universal grammar for intrinsic information (proto-communication). The irreducible character of an informational holarchy where the whole is affected non-synergistically by the non-integrated information is how intrinsic information encapsulates the energy transformation from fusing thermal and quantum fluctuations that result in long-range correlations (phase wave) that constitutes the fundamental dynamics of physical feelings. In panexperiential materialism, there is no issue dividing holists and reductionists, concerning the issue whether the whole or the discrete parts are primary, but rather their interrelations. This relationalism is pivotal in understanding how non-integrated information holistically concresce. Although we consider matter waves to be fundamental, one might say, avoiding the trap of eliminative materialism, that the brain is conjugate to the mind and vice versa.
This is a short introduction as a complement to the Preface, for those not familiar with the current view of pre-existing quantum biology as a re-evolving subject and its influences concerning the theme "quantum boundaries of life." We suggest that the information-based quantum Darwinism encapsulates macroscopic quantum potentialities via self-referential amplification. It is shown to play a pivotal role, giving support to the signature of life and consciousness at the quantum-classical transition zone where long-range correlative information is cultivated by energy-entropy dissipation in organisms at multiple levels of hierarchical and functional organization.
Electroencephalography is the recording of brain electrical activities that can be used to diagnose brain seizure disorders. By identifying brain activity patterns and their correspondence between symptoms and diseases, it is possible to give an accurate diagnosis and appropriate drug therapy to patients. This work aims to categorize electroencephalography signals on different channels’ recordings for classifying and predicting epileptic seizures. The collection of the electroencephalography recordings contained in the dataset attributes 179 information and 11,500 instances. Instances are of five categories, where one is the symptoms of epilepsy seizure. We have used traditional, ensemble methods and deep machine learning techniques highlighting their performance for the epilepsy seizure detection task. One dimensional convolutional neural network, ensemble machine learning techniques like bagging, boosting (AdaBoost, gradient boosting, and XG boosting), and stacking is implemented. Traditional machine learning techniques such as decision tree, random forest, extra tree, ridge classifier, logistic regression, K-Nearest Neighbor, Naive Bayes (gaussian), and Kernel Support Vector Machine (polynomial, gaussian) are used for classifying and predicting epilepsy seizure. Before using ensemble and traditional techniques, we have preprocessed the data set using the Karl Pearson coefficient of correlation to eliminate irrelevant attributes. Further accuracy of classification and prediction of the classifiers are manipulated using k-fold cross-validation methods and represent the Receiver Operating Characteristic Area Under the Curve for each classifier. After sorting and comparing algorithms, we have found the convolutional neural network and extra tree bagging classifiers to have better performance than all other ensemble and traditional classifiers.

If the physical mind is located in quantized space of the brain then how doesthe physical mind become the self? This remains an unresolved problem. It can be restated as how mental representations or mental states get their informational contents, and of doing so in terms of the natural functions brain states have? We call these natural brain functions not teleosemantic functions, but ratherteleological functions. This is because teleosemantics portrays mental representations which must have informational contents that track operational explanations of cognitive capacities while teleological functions (or teleofunctions) do not as they are hidden in quantized space, suggesting that mind is physical. Specifically teleonomic capacities have been built into us by natural selection, which naturally leads to a teleogical notion of function. Our claim is that teleofunctionality as unification ofmental states has natural functions that carry intrinsic dispositions that may be broadly defined as subjectivity' or intrinsic information content of mental states. Mental states have intrinsic dispositions to change their functions, producing correspondences to the world that includes further layers of subtlety hidden in quantized space. How does intrinsic information self-replicate content in cases of mental misrepresentation? The putative special virtue of teleosemantics and its ability to give a theory of error through uncertainty' is discussed based on a teleological functionalist epistemology.
