To evaluate the diagnostic performance of contrast-enhanced mammography (CEM) for detecting residual disease (RD) and assessing residual tumor size after neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) in breast cancer, comparing early-only, delayed-only, and combined acquisition protocols. This retrospective single-center diagnostic performance study included consecutive women with biopsy-proven breast cancer who underwent pre- and post-NAC CEM with both early and delayed acquisitions and subsequent surgery (2016–2024). Patients without complete CEM protocols or surgical pathology were excluded. CEM images were independently analyzed for each protocol by two experienced breast radiologists in consensus. Radiological response was categorized per RECIST and dichotomized as complete response versus RD. Pathological tumor staging (ypT) at surgery was the gold standard; pathologic complete response (pCR) was defined as ypT0/ypTis. Diagnostic performance in predicting RD was calculated for each protocol with sensitivity and negative predictive value (NPV) as primary endpoints (χ² test). Contrast-enhanced mammography (CEM) is a functional breast imaging technique that combines conventional mammographic morphology with contrast-based assessment of tumour vascularity. In the presurgical setting, CEM has gained interest as a tool to improve local staging by refining tumour extent evaluation and detecting additional disease beyond conventional imaging. This narrative review critically summarises current evidence on the role of CEM in preoperative breast cancer staging. Technical aspects, diagnostic performance for index lesion size assessment and detection of additional malignant foci, comparison with breast MRI, and impact on surgical planning are discussed, with attention to histological subtypes and clinically relevant scenarios encountered in daily practice. Available studies suggest that CEM provides tumour extent assessment comparable to MRI in selected settings, with higher specificity for additional lesions and meaningful influence on surgical decision-making. However, limitations related to contrast administration, radiation dose, evaluation of posterior structures, and nodal staging remain. Heterogeneity in protocols and outcome definitions also limits generalizability. CEM represents a valuable adjunct for presurgical breast cancer staging when appropriately integrated into multimodality workflows. Prospective multicenter studies are needed to define its impact on surgical outcomes and clarify its role within personalised breast cancer management. This review provides a critical overview of CEM in preoperative breast cancer staging, highlighting its role as a complementary imaging tool when MRI is unavailable or unsuitable, and emphasising the need for prospective multicentre studies to validate its clinical impact.
BACKGROUND:Breast cancer (BC) is the most common cancer among women. There has been growing interest in less invasive techniques for the treatment of breast lesions, with cryoablation emerging as promising option. We aimed to assess the safety and efficacy of cryoablation for the treatment of breast cancer tumor subtypes 12 months post-treatment. METHODS:This single-center prospective study included patients with biopsy-proven BC who underwent ultrasound-guided-cryoablation treatment during 2021-2023. Locoregional staging was performed using ultrasound and contrast-enhanced mammography (CEM). Follow-up included ultrasound at 1-, 3-, 6- and 12-months with additional CEM and biopsy at 12-months. Rate of complete ablation, tumor size and quality of life (QoL) were assessed. Primary endpoint was absence of residual tumor for BC at 12-month post cryoablation. RESULTS:Thirthy-six female patients (mean age, 84.5±6.7 years) with 39 biopsy-proven tumors (mean size 15.3±7.5 mm) underwent cryoablation. No device-related unexpected adverse events were reported. The 39 BCs were early-stage luminal A or B, invasive ductal carcinoma (IDC) or IDC + ductal carcinoma in situ. Complete ablation rates for BC ≤ 15 mm and BC >15 mm were 100% and 84.6%, respectively; Cryoablation positively impacted patient QoL as assessed by validated questionnaires. CONCLUSIONS:With improved QoL, cryoablation emerges as a promising, safe, and effective treatment option for low-risk breast cancer. The purpose of this study was to assess the diagnostic performance of CEM in the preoperative staging of breast cancer in a large cohort of patients. A retrospective review of preoperative staging CEM exams was conducted at our centre between June 2016 and June 2021. We evaluated cases where CEM influenced the type of surgery, necessitated additional biopsies or imaging, and identified additional lesions. The sensitivity, specificity, positive and negative predictive values (PPV and NPV), and accuracy of CEM for the entire sample and each subgroup setting were calculated. A receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve and multivariate analysis were performed. 991 women, mean age 61.3 years old [35–93], with 1005 malignant lesions were included. Background/Objectives: The aim of this study is to evaluate the impact of tumor characteristics on lesion conspicuity in contrast-enhanced mammography (CEM) and identify factors associated with different levels of conspicuity. Methods: In this retrospective study, we analyzed 552 patients with breast cancer who underwent CEM. Lesion conspicuity was categorized into three levels: 1 (low), 2 (moderate), and 3 (high). Tumor characteristics included age, histological subtype, hormone receptor status, HER2 status, Ki67 index, tumor grade, and molecular subtype. Univariate and multivariate analyses were conducted to assess associations between lesion conspicuity and these factors. Results: Of the 552 cases, the majority showed mass enhancement (78.1%), followed by non-mass enhancement (NME) (16.8%), and a combination of mass and NME (4.0%). Lesion conspicuity was significantly associated with enhancement type on CEM (p < 0.001). High conspicuity (score 3) was predominantly observed in masses (84.8%) compared to NME (7.6%). Larger tumor dimensions (median 20 mm) were also associated with higher conspicuity (p < 0.001). Molecular subtypes differed significantly in conspicuity, with Luminal A tumors showing lower conspicuity compared to HER2-positive and triple-negative breast cancers (p = 0.025). In multivariate analysis, lesion conspicuity was strongly associated with enhancement type (p < 0.001) and tumor dimensions (p < 0.001), while histological subtype and molecular characteristics had no significant independent impact. Conclusions: Lesion conspicuity in CEM is primarily influenced by the type of enhancement and tumor size. Mass-forming lesions, particularly larger ones, are more conspicuous, while NME tends to result in lower conspicuity. These findings suggest that enhancement patterns and tumor dimensions are key factors to consider when interpreting CEM in breast cancer diagnosis.
Melanoma in situ of the nipple is an uncommon diagnosis, with only a few reports in the literature. Due to the variety of pathologies that can affect the nipple-areola complex, the diagnosis can be challenging. In this case report we describe a patient with cosmetic bilateral breast implants who presented with eczema of the left nipple-areola complex and suspicious microcalcifications in the lower inner quadrant of the ipsilateral breast on mammography, subsequently diagnosed with nipple melanoma and concomitant ductal carcinoma in situ.
Neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAT) plays a crucial role in breast cancer (BC) treatment, both in advanced BC and in early-stage BC, with different rates of pathological complete response (pCR) among the different BC molecular subtypes. Imaging monitoring is mandatory to evaluate the NAT efficacy. This study evaluates the diagnostic performance of Contrast-Enhanced Mammography (CEM) in BC patients undergoing NAT. This retrospective two-center study included 174 patients. The breast lesions were classified based on the molecular subtypes in hormone receptor (HR+)/HER2−, HER2+, and triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). The histopathological analysis performed following surgery was used as a reference standard for the pCR. Sensitivity, specificity, PPV, and NPV were measured overall and for the different subtypes. We enrolled 174 patients, 79/174 (46%) HR+/HER2−, 59/174 (33.9%) HER2+, and 35/174 (20.1%) TNBC; the pCR was found in 64/174 (36.8%), of which 57.1% were TNBCs. In the total population, the CEM sensitivity and specificity were 66.2% and 75.2%, with a PPV of 61.4% and an NPV of 78.8%. The highest specificity (80.9%) and NPV (91.7%) were found in HR+/HER2−, while the highest sensitivity (70%) and PPV appeared (73.7%) in TNBC. The results indicate that CEM is a valid tool to assess the pCR, with different performances among the subtypes of BC.
BACKGROUND:This study evaluates the procedural efficacy and patient experience of Contrast Enhanced Mammography (CEM)-guided biopsies performed in a prone position using the Giotto Class 30,000 system. The emphasis is on the procedural advantages and clinical outcomes for "enhancing-only lesions" (EOLs). METHODS:A retrospective analysis of 524 CEM examinations conducted from December 2023 to June 2024 at a tertiary referral center was performed. Patients referred for pre-surgical staging or evaluation of inconclusive findings from conventional imaging were included. The study utilized dual-energy imaging and vacuum-assisted biopsy techniques, focusing on patients with at least one EOL identified in their initial CEM. Exclusions were based on the absence of a primary or follow-up CEM conducted at our facility Endpoints of this work included procedure efficiency which was evaluated in terms of technical success (biopsy completion with adequate sampling), dose distribution and timing and detection of additional lesions and patients' comfort evaluation, based on the rate of complications (hematomas) and procedure interruption due to patients' specific request or fainting events. RESULTS:Among the evaluated cases, 37 EOLs were biopsied. The average procedure time was 15.8 min. Biopsies were successfully completed in 100% of cases. However, complications occurred in 27% of cases, primarily as hematomas and a significant histological finding rate of 97.3% was recorded. CONCLUSIONS:The use of the Giotto Class 30,000 system for CEM-guided biopsies in a prone position demonstrated high procedural success and was well-tolerated by patients, highlighting its potential to enhance procedural comfort and efficiency. These preliminary results validate the innovative approach, though further studies are required to solidify these findings and explore long-term outcomes.
Aim: Endovascular treatment of cerebral bifurcation wide-neck aneurysms remains a therapeutic challenge in terms of safety profile and timely treatment efficacy. The aim of this study is to investigate the very long-term efficacy and safety of Y stenting-assisted coiling with Neuroform Atlas in the treatment of wide-neck bifurcation aneurysms. Methods: Clinical, procedural and follow-up data were analyzed to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the treatment with Y-stenting assisted coil strategy (with Neuroform Atlas) in wide-neck bifurcation aneurysms. Endovascular technical aspects were also investigated. Morbidity and mortality were recorded. Digital subtraction angiography (DSA) for mid-term follow-up (12-15 months) and MR-angiography (MRA) for long-term follow-up (24-36 months) and very long-term follow-up (48-60 months) were evaluated in order to assess the efficacy. Results: The study included 21 Patients (12 Females, 9 Males) aged between 41 and 78 years, with a median age of 60 years. Of the aneurysms treated, 6 belonged to the middle cerebral artery bifurcation (MCA) (28.6%), 10 to the anterior communicating artery (AComA) (47.6%) and 5 to the basilar artery tip (BA) (23.8%). The median aneurysm size and dome/neck ratio were 5 and 1.2 mm, respectively. Technical success was achieved in all 21 cases (100%). No complication related to stent placement was observed. The morbidity rate was 9.5% (2/21) procedure-related; 1 case of intra-procedural SAH and 1 post-procedural stroke were observed. No death was observed. Mid-term DSA, according to the modified Raymond-Roy Occlusion Classification (RROC), showed 16 Class I (76.2%), 4 II(19%), and 1 IIIa (4.8%). Long-term MRA follow-up (24-36 months) showed aneurysm complete occlusion (CO) in 17 cases (80.9%) and residual neck (NR) in 4 cases (19.1%). Very long-term MRA follow-up (48-60 months) confirmed the same rate of occlusion (CO 80.9%; NR 19.1%). Long-term and very longterm MRA follow-up showed vessels' patency in all cases (100%). Conclusion: Y-stenting-assisted coil embolization represents a safe and effective technique demonstrating an adequate rate of aneurysm occlusion at long-term follow-up and very long-term follow-up.

Objectives To investigate the outcomes of patients with calcific lesions in the common femoral artery undergoing endovascular procedures with atherectomy device and scoring balloon angioplasty combined with treatment of steno-occlusive disease of the remaining arterial districts of the lower limb. Methods Between January 2015 and December 2018, 11 diabetic patients at high risk for “major amputation”, with calcific lesions of the common femoral artery and ischemic ulcers requiring endovascular treatment were retrospectively evaluated. Technical success was defined as revascularization of the common femoral artery with a residual stenosis lower than 30%. Primary endpoints were an immediate increase of perilesional transcutaneous oxygen pressure (TCPO2) > 40 mmHg, ulcerative lesions improvement up to healing or skin flaps re-epithelialization after minor amputation, limb rescue with rejected major amputation, and resolution of rest pain if present. Results The success rate of the revascularization procedures was 100%. No patient underwent surgical conversion. One case of peri-operative bleeding at the brachial access site was observed. There were no cases of arterial dissection or undesired distal embolization. The average baseline value of perilesional TCPO2 was 21.8 ± 9.2 mmHg. The mean TCPO2 value was 57.4 ± 7.2 mmHg three days after the procedure (P < 0.05), and 51.2 ± 9.8 mmHg 15 days after (P < 0.05). Minor amputations were performed in five patients with advanced ulcerative lesions. No major amputations were performed in the follow-up period. At 14 months follow-up, one patient developed new occlusion of the CFA for extension from the external iliac artery and underwent a new endovascular procedure. We observed an overall primary patency rate of 91% and a primary assisted patency rate of 100% in our 18-month follow-up. Conclusions Endovascular approach for severely calcified atherosclerotic lesions of the common femoral artery seems to represent a valid therapeutic option associated with promising results in terms of clinical outcome and low complication rates.
Breast cancer (BC) has overtaken lung cancer as the most common cancer in the world and the projected incidence rates show a further increase. Early detection through population screening remains the cornerstone of BC control, but a progressive change from early diagnosis only-based to a personalized preventive and risk-reducing approach is widely debated. Risk-stratification models, which also include personal lifestyle risk factors, are under evaluation, although the documentation burden to gather population-based data is relevant and traditional data collection methods show some limitations. This paper provides the preliminary results from the analysis of clinical data provided by radiologists and lifestyle data collected using self-administered questionnaires from 5601 post-menopausal women. The weight of the combinations of women’s personal features and lifestyle habits on the BC risk were estimated by combining a model-driven and a data-driven approach to analysis. The weight of each factor on cancer occurrence was assessed using a logistic model. Additionally, communities of women sharing common features were identified and combined in risk profiles using social network analysis techniques. Our results suggest that preventive programs focused on increasing physical activity should be widely promoted, in particular among the oldest women. Additionally, current findings suggest that pregnancy, breast-feeding, salt limitation, and oral contraception use could have different effects on cancer risk, based on the overall woman’s risk profile. To overcome the limitations of our data, this work also introduces a mobile health tool, the Dress-PINK, designed to collect real patients’ data in an innovative way for improving women’s response rate, data accuracy, and completeness as well as the timeliness of data availability. Finally, the tool provides tailored prevention messages to promote critical consciousness, critical thinking, and increased health literacy among the general population.
PURPOSE Renal artery aneurysms (RAAs) are rare in the general population, although the true incidence and natural history remain elusive. Conventional endovascular therapies such as coil embolization or covered stent graft may cause side branches occlusion, leading to organ infarction. Flow diverters (FDs) have been first designed to treat cerebrovascular aneurysms, but their use may be useful to treat complex RAAs presenting side branches arising from the aneurysmal sac. We aimed to evaluate the mid-term follow-up (FUP) safety and efficacy of FDs during the treatment of complex RAAs. METHODS Between November 2019 and April 2020, 7 RAAs were identified in 7 patients (4 men, 3 women; age range 55-82 years; median 67 years) and treated by FDs. Procedural details, complications, morbidity and mortality, aneurysm occlusion, and segmental artery patency were retrospectively reviewed. Twelve months of computed tomography angiography (CTA) FUP was evaluated for all cases. RESULTS Deployment of FDs was successful in all cases. One intraprocedural technical complication was encountered with one FD felt down into aneurism sac which requiring additional telescopic stenting. One case at 3 months CTA FUP presented the same complication, requiring the same rescue technique. At 12 months CTA FUP, 5 cases of size shrinkage and 2 cases of stable size were documented. No rescue surgery or major intraprocedural or mid-term FUP complication was seen. CONCLUSION Complex RAAs with 2 or more side branches can be safely treated by FD. FD efficacy for RAA needs further validation at long-term FUP by additional large prospective studies.
PURPOSE:Inflammatory pseudotumors of the liver (IPTL) are not exceptional benign lesions with various etiologies, histology, and imaging appearances. The incomplete knowledge of this pathology and the wide polymorphism sometimes resembling malignancy often induce long and expensive diagnostic flow, biopsy and occasionally unnecessary surgery. We propose a systematic revision of MRI literature data (2000-2021) with some narrative inserts and 10 new complete MRI cases, with the aim of organizing the data about IPTL and identifying some typical features able to improve its diagnosis from imaging.METHODS:We performed a systematic revision of literature from 2000 to 2021 to obtain MRI features, epidemiological, and clinical data of IPTL. The basic online search algorithm on the PubMed database was "(pseudotumor) AND (liver) AND (imaging)." Quality assessment was performed using both scales by Moola for case report studies and by Munn for cross-sectional studies reporting prevalence data. A case-based retrospective study by collecting patients diagnosed with IPTL from three different university hospitals from 2015 to 2021 was done as well. Only cases with MR examinations complete with T1/T2/contrast-enhanced T1/Diffusion-Weighted (W) images and pathology-proven IPTL were selected.RESULTS:After screening/selection 38 articles were included for a total of 114 patients. In our experience we selected 10 cases for a total of 16 IPTLs; 8 out of 10 patients underwent at least 1 MRI follow-up. Some reproducible and rather typical imaging findings for IPTL were found. The targetoid aspect of IPTL is very frequent in our experience (75% on T1W, 44% on T2W, 81% on contrast-enhanced T1W (at least one phase), 100% on Diffusion-W images) but is also recurrent in the literature (6% on T1W, 31% on T2W, 51% on CE-T1W (at least one phase), 18% on Diffusion-W images, and 67% on hepatobiliary phase). In our experience, Apparent Diffusion Coefficient map values were always equal to or higher than those of the surrounding parenchyma, and at MRI follow-up, nodule/s disappeared at first/second control, in six patients, while in the remaining 2, lesions persisted with tendency to dehydration.CONCLUSION:A targetoid-like aspect of a focal liver lesion must raise diagnostic suspicion, especially if IgG4-positive plasma is detected. MRI follow-up mainly shows the disappearance of the lesion or its reduction with dehydration.
Objective This study aims to describe the results achieved in the management of rectus sheath hematoma (RSH) using glue embolization. Method Data about all consecutive patients presenting with RSH, between January 2005 and December 2020 were retrospectively reviewed. RSHs were classified according to the Berna CT scan Classification. Clinical and technical outcomes were evaluated during in-hospital period and 1-month follow-up. Results Among 74 patients presenting with RSH, CTA revealed an active bleeding in 61 (n = 42, 69% women; median age = 68.8 y range: 47-91). 19 cases of type 1 RSH (25.7%), under anticoagulation therapy and hemodynamically stable, were successfully managed conservatively. Conversely, endovascular embolization with cyanoacrylate glue diluted with ethiodized oil (Lipiodol Ultrafluid, Guerbet, France) was needed in n = 42 (56.8%) patients, in 16 cases after failure of conservative management; a single session of percutaneous glue embolization was adequate to achieve technical and clinical success in all patients with stabilization or progressive improvement of hemoglobin values after procedure (7.1 + 1.8 g/dL pre-procedure vs 11.1 + 1.6 g/dL post-procedure). No major complications occurred. Two minor complications were reported: 1 case (2.4%) of puncture site-related complication (local self-limiting hematoma) and 1 case (2.4%) of post-embolization syndrome (abdominal pain) spontaneously regressive. The median hospital stay was 7 d. At 30-day follow-up, 2 patients (2.7%) died of multiorgan failure. Conclusions In the management of RSH, glue embolization was shown to be safe and efficacious. Glue allowed the immediate occlusion of both the “front and back doors” of bleeding without the need to reach the bleeding point, preventing potentially life-threatening recurrence.
Acute carotid occlusion is a rare but important complication that can occur after a carotid endoacrterectomy (CEA) procedure. Standard intervention after a re-occlusion is usually surgical. We reported a case of a 78-year old patient with acute internal carotid occlusion after a CEA and sociated intracranial embolization to the posterior communicating artery. Surgical approach was therefore excluded because of the above-mentioned cerebral perfusion deficit. Endovascular treatment allowed to restore the proper ICA vessel caliber and the cerebral blood flow through a thromboaspiration catheter. Moreover, the procedure was performed using devices usually intended for other body district. Endovascular treatment could represent an alternative treatment in post-CEA acute occlusions, especially in patient with associated intracranial perfusion deficit, allowing the operator to resolve both issues and reduce the overall ischemic time.
Objective The objective is to report a single centre experience in the embolization of visceral artery pseudoaneurysms with N-butyl-cyanoacrylate-methacryloxy sulfolane (NBCA-MS). Methods A retrospective observational cohort study was conducted on data about all consecutive patients treated for visceral artery pseudoaneurysms in the Interventional Radiology Unit of SS Annunziata Hospital, in Taranto (Italy) between January 2016 and July 2020. Only patients treated with NBCA-MS embolization were included. Clinical and technical outcomes were evaluated during in-hospital stay and at 3-month follow-up by computed angiotomography (CTA). Results Among 89 patients undergoing treatment for visceral artery pseudoaneurysm, a total of 58 (65.2%) patients (n = 32, 55.2% men; median age 45.8 years, range: 35–81) treated with NBCA-MS only were enrolled. Pseudoaneurysms were located in the renal artery (n = 18 cases, 31%), in the splenic artery (n = 27, 46.6%), in the intra-parenchymal hepatic artery (n = 3, 5.2%), in the common hepatic artery (n = 4, 6.9%) or in the pancreatic artery (n = 6, 10.3%). N-butyl-cyanoacrylate was diluted 1:1 with Lipiodol ultra-fluid, and mean volume injected was 0.6 ± 0.3 mL (range: 0.2–2.8 mL). Embolization was technically and clinically successful in all patients (n = 58, 100%) with an immediate total thrombosis of the pseudoaneurysm at the completion angiography. No systemic complications were noted in all cases. Five cases (8.6%) of non-target vessel embolization occurred without any clinical complication. No pseudoaneurysm recurrence was detected at the CTA control 1 day postoperatively. In one case (1.7%), a recurrence was detected 4 days after the initial treatment and successfully managed by a repeated NBCA-MS embolization. During the hospital stay, 56 patients recovered well but 2 (3.4%) died from multi-organ failure not related to the embolization. No recurrences were detected at the 3-month postoperative CTA in the remaining patients. Conclusions In properly selected patients affected with visceral artery pseudoaneurysms, NBCA-MS represents a definitive and safe embolization agent.
OBJECTIVES:To compare three commonly used large-bore aspiration catheters in terms of final successful recanalization rate and first-passage successful and complete recanalization rates (the so called "first-passage effect").MATERIALS AND METHODS:it is an observational retrospective multicenter study conducted in three Italian high-volume tertiary stroke centers between January 2017 and May 2019. The study population included all consecutive patients with an ischemic stroke due to middle cerebral artery occlusion (M1 segment only) that underwent intra-arterial mechanical thrombectomy with contact aspiration as first-line strategy within 24 hours from symptoms onset.RESULTS:Three hundred twenty-one patients were included in the study. Multivariable logistic regression analysis comparing the three catheters revealed no differences in terms of successful recanalization. Sofia 6 Plus catheter was associated with better first-passage successful recanalization [OR, 9.09; 95% CI, 2.66-31.03] (p<0.001) and first-passage complete recanalization [OR: 3.73; 95% CI: 1.43-9.72] (p=0.007) whereas rt-PA was associated with worse first-passage recanalization [OR: 0.52; 95% CI: 0.29-0.93] (p=0.028).CONCLUSIONS:No differences between the three catheters were reported in terms of successful recanalization. Sofia 6 Plus has proven to be superior in achieving both successful and complete first-passage recanalization. Conversely, rt-PA was found to be a negative predicting factor of first-passage effect.
We report the case of a 38-year-old woman who underwent orthotopic 'split' liver transplant, complicated by hepatic artery thrombosis on the first postoperative day. The patient was successfully treated with an endovascular approach by mechanical thromboaspiration of the hepatic artery, using neurovascular devices, angioplasty and stenting at the site of the surgical anastomosis.
The liver is the major drug-metabolizing and drug-detoxifying organ. Many drugs can cause liver damage through various mechanisms; however, the liver response to injury includes a relatively narrow spectrum of alterations that, regardless of the cause, are represented by phlogosis, oxidative stress and necrosis. The combination of these alterations mainly results in three radiological findings: vascular alterations, structural changes and metabolic function reduction. Chemotherapy has changed in recent decades in terms of the drugs, protocols and duration, allowing patients a longer life expectancy. As a consequence, we are currently observing an increase in chemotherapy-associated liver injury patterns once considered unusual. Recognizing this form of damage in an early stage is crucial for reconsidering the therapy regimen and thus avoiding severe complications. In this frontier article, we analyze the role of imaging in detecting some of these pathological patterns, such as pseudocirrhosis, "yellow liver" due to chemotherapy-associated steatosis-steatohepatitis, and "blue liver", including sinusoidal obstruction syndrome, veno-occlusive disease and peliosis.
