This paper presented the reconstituted tobacco by paper process,such as the advantages,production process and its develop situation.Furthermore,the domestic development trend of reconstituted tobacco by paper process is pointed out.

Extraction is one of the key processing steps in the manufacture of paper-making reconstituted tobacco.The tobacco stem and tobacco scrap was extracted with water,the effect of extraction temperafure, the ratio of material liquid,time on extraction rate was studied.The result showed that the optimum extraction condition for tobacco stem is about 70 min at 60℃,and the ratio of material liquid 1:5.For tobacco scrap, the optimum extraction condition is about 50 min at 50℃,and the ratio of material liquid is 1:5.Under these conditions,the extraction rate of tobacco stem and tobacco scrap was 48.52%and 53.76%.

Extraction is one of the key processing steps in the manufacture of paper-making reconstituted tobacco. Surfactant was used to improve the extraction rate of tobacco stem and tobacco scrap in paper-making reconstituted tobacco production.The tobacco stem and tobacco scrap were extracted with water.The effects of added amount of Tween-80,extraction temperature,the ratio of material to liquid,and processing time on extraction rate were studied,and the optimized extraction condition for tobacco stem and scrap are 0.1%,60℃,1:5,70 min,and 0.1%, 50℃,1:5,50 min,respectively.Under these conditions,the extraction rates of tobacco stem and tobacco scrap were 49.67%and 54.82%,which were improved effectively.
