The screw mode curve is the kernel where the screw pump works. In its application,it is found that there is an obvious protruding arris at the joint of force-transferring gear model of the existing five-screw pump. Through the theoretical computation and analyses of the mode curve,it is found that there is an inflexion at the joint of the curves; therefore the paper puts forward the thought of mode curve design. In addition,when the five-screw pump is in application,some impurities come into the slide bearing of the pump so that the impurities are glued onto the inner surface of the bearing,so this paper proposes that the structure of the pump would be improved to give a reference for the future design of the pump and heighten its reliability.
