His expertise focuses on the development of novel experimental apparatus for measuring the mechanical response of engineering materials at high strain rates. His research concentrates on studying the effects of strain rate and the environment on the response of lightweight reinforced polymers, titanium alloys, and naturally occurring materials.
He is also interested in applications of artificial intelligence in solid mechanics and materials modelling.
