Clinton Fookes is a Professor in Vision & Signal Processing and the Speech, Audio, Image and Video Technologies group within the Science and Engineering Faculty at QUT. Clinton actively researches in the fields of computer vision and machine learning including video surveillance, biometrics, human-computer interaction, and medical signal processing. Clinton has attracted over $17M of cash funding for fundamental and applied research from external competitive sources and has published over 200 internationally peer-reviewed articles. He has been the Director of Research for the School of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science. He is currently the Head of Discipline for Vision & Signal Processing. He serves on the editorial board for the IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics & Security. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE, an Australian Institute of Policy and Science Young Tall Poppy, an Australian Museum Eureka Prize winner, and a Senior Fulbright Scholar.
