个人简介
After completing honours at Deakin University, looking at the whether bill size mediates thermoregulatory behaviour in birds (under the supervision of Matthew Symonds and Mike Weston), I moved to Kosciuszko National Park to work as a research assistant for Kate Umbers (University of Western Sydney). Here we worked on the relatively unstudied Mountain Katydid (Acripeza reticulata). This work included experiments to determine the role of colouration and the 'deimatic display' in protecting the mountain katydid against predation. After completing a field season in Kosciuszko, I began my PhD at University of Western Sydney, working on the mating system of the iconic and endemic Emu (Dromaius novaehollandiae).
I have a broad interest in evolutionary and behavioural ecology, but having spent many years working in conservation and management position. I am passionate about applying fundamental behavioural questions to better our conservation practices.
