个人简介
Current research interests include mitochondrial and cellular physiology. We use live cell imaging to study mitochondrial function. We study mitochondria-targeted small molecules and experiment with their use to modulate mitochondrial activities in the context of disease and dysfunction. We also study how estrogens and phytoestrogens like resveratrol affect mitochondria. We are interested in how oxygen interacts with mammalian cells, drives reactive oxygen species production, and modulates cell physiology.
