I have provided the most general quadratic curvature action of gravity ( with my collaborators ), which is torsion-free and parity invariant, and also ghost-free and singularity-free action in a given background within infinite derivative theories of gravity. Such a gravitational action can potentially resolve cosmological and blackhole singularity problems in Einstein's theory of General Relativity by weakening gravitational interaction in a region of spacetime where non-local interactions become important. The latter region can be larger than the Schwarzschild's radius, thus, potentially resolving the information-loss paradox!
