2009年入选教育部跨世纪优秀人才支持计划。创建热电磁多功能材料与器件实验室,长期从事热电磁耦合物理新机制、热电磁多功能设计与实现、高性能热电磁多功能新材料及应用研究。基于电子轨道杂化模型,提出通过增大热电材料中亚结构对称性提高电输运性能的新思路;发现热电材料中电子轨道杂化、电子加速运动和声子共振散射等3种局域输运行为的共存机制及其对电子/声子输运的协同调控作用;创造性提出将磁性纳米粒子引入到热电材料基体中,发现磁性纳米粒子的铁磁-顺磁转变和铁磁-超顺磁转变可以诱发电子库、电子多重散射等热电磁新效应,建立了热电磁多功能新材料及器件的设计方法。先后主持国家自然科学基金委青年基金、面上项目和重点项目6项,在Nature、Nature Nanotech.、Nature Commun.、J. Am. Chem. Soc.等国际重要期刊发表论文70余篇。
