Colorimetric Performance of Non-Standard Television Receiver with Customer Adjustment

A method of comparing receivers on the basis of matching fleshtones is proposed. An algorithm for predicting the required chroma gain and phase adjustments to obtain this match is presented. An implementation of the algorithm on a personal proqrammable calculator is demonstrated, using five linked programs. Results of calculations for eight different receivers/monitors of interest are summarized in tables and coordinate plots. An extensive set of references on fleshtone reproduction is included.
