The purpose of this paper is to describe some of the fundamental ideas that will go into the design of the University of Texas in San Antonio's robot entry into the 2007 CiberMouse competition. The requirement of the competition is to traverse unknown terrain with the goal of rescuing a stranded target and returning them to the starting location. The competition is handled through software simulation allowing us to focus all efforts on the algorithms necessary to achieve success.
