Novel technology for synthesis of β-Co(OH)_2

A novel preparation technology for β-Co(OH)_2 by home-made continuous reactor,using the methods of wet synthesis and adding ammonia were reported.The reaction conditions,including pH value,reaction temperature,concentration of NaOH,flow rate of CoSO_4 and ammonia water,method of washing were investigated and optimized.pH was kept at about 10.50 and temperature was controlled at 90℃,concentration of NaOH was 4 mol/L.The flow rate of CoSO_4 solution and ammonia water,was 50 mL/h and 31 mL/h respectively.The product was fully washed with distilled water of 50℃.This novel technology can be applied to industrial production.
