Anomalous Piezoelectric Properties of Ferroelectric Semiconductor SbSBr

The piezoelectric modulus d(33), electromechanical coupling factor k(33) and elastic compliance coefficients s(33)(D) and s(33)(E) of SbSBr are determined by admittance measurement on single crystals of 8.43 mm in length and 0.3 x 0.3 mm(2) in cross section. The d(33) has the highest value of 6 x 10(-5) cgsesu near the Curie point. The k(33) shows the value of 50% near T-c. Near the Curie point in the ferroelectric phase, several admittance circles with different losses due to the motion of the displacement co-exist, which indicates that the ferroelectric and paraelectric phases are mixed together in this phase.
