摘要
Hipposideros speoris has sharply defined annual reproductive cycle at and around Nanded (19-degrees-09'N; 77-degrees-27'E) in Maharashtra state, India. All females in the colony conceive during the first week of December and bring forth one young each in the middle of the following May. Females reach sexual maturity at an age of 7 1/2 to 8 months while males do not attain sexual maturity until they are at least 18 months of age. The female genital organs exhibit sinistral physilogical dominance. There is an uneven female predominant sex ratio.
