On the absence of quantum effects during the plastic flow at helium temperatures

The temperature dependence of the plastic flow was investigated in several materials at helium temperatures. No manifestations of the theoretically predicted quantum effects were observed. It is shown that the deformation of the materials used is determined by the thermal activation processes down to 1.3 K.
