An Emotional Interface for Interpersonal Communication

It is very natural for us to express our emotions to friends or family at any time. This paper shows how emotional interface can enhance interpersonal communication in human relationships. We present the notion of an "Emoti-Ring," which enables people to share their emotional status with someone they care about in other places. Combining a social network service and a wireless device, the Emoti-Ring is a unique tool to support asynchronous and unobstrusive communication, amplifying the social aspect of human emotions.
