Data-Base Management-Systems For Experimental And Calculation Results

This paper concentrates upon the data base management problems posed in a large scientific laboratory by the need to store and catalogue both experimental data and results produced by computer calculations. A data bank of the results of calculations on the theory of atomic collisions is described. The data base management system RAPPORT has been used to design solutions to data cataloguing problems arising from an experimental facility.
