It is currently held that morbidly obese patients with metabolic syndrome (MS) are at highest risk for non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) with significant hepatic fibrosis. To better define this relationship, we investigated hepatic histology and its correlation to comorbidity and biochemical factors.
