Development of a Methodology for Manufacturing of Osseous Implants made form Bone Powders and molding

We present the results of bending, hardness (Shore A), impact, and water absorption tests for a first trial of a biocompatible mixture that conforms with at least 4 properties of biocompatibility for an osseous implant: osteconduction, osteoinduction, osteogenesis and structural support. That mixture is made from a polymeric matrix and a reinforcement made by lyophilized bone powders. In front of the results it was possible to fabricate by injection small standard objects used in osseous implantology, and to show the viability of the method to produce grafts made from this type of mixtures.
