摘要
Objective To explore the correlation between levels of lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2 with type 2 diabetes mellitus and its vascular complications. Methods A total of 180 cases were divided into 3 groups, type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with coronary artery disease group(48 cases),type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with renal disease group(59 cases) and type 2 diabetes mellitus without vasculopathy group(73 cases). The serum lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2 levels were determined in these 3 groups and another 60 healthy individuals(control group). Results The lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2 level was significantly higher in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus than that in control group(P0.05),and it was higher in type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with coronary artery disease or renal disease than that in type 2 diabetes mellitus without vasculopathy group(P0.01).Lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2 level was obviously correlated with low density lipoprotein, body mass index and fasting plasma glucose. Conclusion Lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2 level is one of the independent risk factors for diabetes mellitus, and can serve as a biomarker for predicting the early vascular complications in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
