The Preliminary Study about Microbial Distribution of Water Resources

Objective:To study living microorganisms in water from environmental water resources and living water,then to give recommend of the water health.Methods:Plate colony count and ATB biochemical identification were used.Results:Among drinking water samples,there were large number of bacteria in the overnight drinking water,both hot and cold water from water dispenser.All of them were detected with thermotolerant coliforms and did meet health standards.The total bacteria number in samples collected from the normal temperature faucet of drinking water machine was far above its standard level and thermotoletant coliform bacteria was found in some of those samples.Conclusion:Large number of bacteria in several drinking water samples that need to be strengthened sterilization management.The bacteria situation in lake water is more complicated,so persons should pay attention to personal hygiene when going out to play.Other living water samples are basically meet the health standards.
