G.P.16.01 Expression of Myogenic Regulatory Factors and Myo-Regeneration in Inflammatory Myopathies

Idiopathic inflammatory myopathies (IM) are a heterogeneous group of acquired neuromuscular diseases with variable response to therapy. In IBM, the most common IM in aged patients characterized by chronic inflammation and degeneration, the primary pathogenic mechanism and the cause of treatment resistance are unknown. Recent evidence suggests that the capacity to regenerate functional muscle tissue might be impaired in IBM.
