摘要
An important current question in medicine is the search for and development of means for the pharmacological correction of neuron damage due to insult ‐ one of the most severe and widespread forms of CNS disease. Successful resolution of this problem requires experimental studies of pathomorphological changes in a variety of brain structures in ischemia. Studies of ischemic neurodestructive processes in the hippocampus are relevant, as this performs a series of vitally important functions, mainly associated with information storage and processing and, in conditions of ischemia, is one of the most vulnerable structures of the brain. The use of organotypic explants of hippocampal tissue for modeling these processes, unlike in vivo experiments, allows direct and controllable ischemic damage to be applied to nervous tissue. The aim of the present work was to study ischemic damage to neuron ultrastructure in organotypic cultures of hippocampal tissue.
