Data Assimilation Approach to Adaptive Forecasting using Floating Car Data

This paper addresses the development of information sys- tems in the Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) domain, which are able to combine historical and real-time data for the purpose of forecasting. We will show with experiments the suitability of Dynamic Harmonic Re- gression for modelling trac, and how this method ts within our Data Assimilation approach to building an adaptive forecasting system.
