Crystallographic data for sturgeon holo-d-glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase: A holo-d-glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase with crystallographic 2-fold symmetry

Crystals of sturgeon holo- D -glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase have space group P 6 1 22 with cell dimensions a = b = 82.2 Å and c = 458 Å, implying that this tetrameric enzyme has an exact 2-fold axis of symmetry. The results obtained here are consistent with the hypothesis that this and other D -glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenases have pseudo 222 symmetry in which one symmetry axis is exact and the other 2-fold axes are only approximate.
