1024 GALLBLADDER CANCER IN THE NETHERLANDS: CHANGES IN INCIDENCE, TREATMENT AND SURVIVAL DURING THE LAST TWO DECADES

POSTERSincreased risk for HCC (OR = 2.13; 95% CI = 1.96-2.31,p < 0.0001) and ICC (OR = 1.56; 95% CI = 1.32-1.83,p < 0.0001).Conclusions: Metabolic syndrome is a risk factor for development of both HCC and ICC in the general U.S. population.Given that approximately one-third of U.S. adults have metabolic syndrome, these findings have implications for the future incidence of both HCC and ICC.
