Aggregation Effect of Joint Ordering Policy in Multi-item Spare Parts Inventory

According to the problem of changing of inventory policy in multi-item inventory,three order policies are proposed based on the item of spare parts in joint order.These policies are independent ordering policy,unanimous ordering policy and joint ordering policy.The arithmetic of joint ordering policy is designed based on heuristic arithmetic.Firstly,the spare which is ordered most frequently is found out,and its order period is taken as basic order period.Periods of other spare parts are multiple of the basic order period.Secondly,maximum order multiple of all kinds of spare parts are found out.Finally,the order quantity of all kinds of spare parts is determined.It is proved by result of examples that the aggregation effect of joint ordering policy is optimal to independent ordering policy and unanimous ordering policy.The conclusion has certain meaning for research on multi-item inventory control policy.
