ª ANLI URFA EKOLOJÝSÝNDE ÝKÝNCÝ ÜRÜN OLARAK BAZI SUSAM (SESAMUM I NDI CUM L.) ÇEª ÝT VE HATLARI NI N YETݪ TÝRÝLME OLANAKLARI ÜZERÝNDE BÝR ARAª TI RMA

Sesame (Sesamum indicum L.) is an important plant of Türkiye that secondary gen center and very used of food ýndustry' s alot of area. However it is most produce Southeast Anatolia region of Türkiye. This study was conducted that in ª anlýurfa City that has % 40 sown area of our country, at Harran University Agricultural Faculty experiment fields. As second crop at 2002 and 2003. At this study, 2 cultivars and 8 lines were sown. The experiments were conducted according to Complete Randomized Block Design with three replications in both years. It was found that plant height varied between from 101.9 to 1126.6 cm and number of branch per plant from 4.23 to 5.48, number of pod per plant from 73.68 to 97.63, 1000 seed weight ranged from 2.70 to 3.36 g, Edible oil content (%) ranged from 43.42 to 49.67, seed yield. Per da from 80.9 to 142.1 kg. The highest yield per da was obtained from P1214257 sesame line.
