Thermalphysicals analysis of plasma igniting pulverized coal powder

In view of the oil consumption problems existing in start-up,shutdown and low load stabilizing combustion for pulverized coal boiler,DLZ-200 plasma ignition device was developed to ignite pulverized coal directly without any oil gun.This paper overviewed the mechanism of plasma igniting.When pulverized coal powder is heated by plasma,it can produce double-component fuel with low fire point and regenerate the quantity of volatile so as to improve the action of fuels and the combustion of coal mixture.Meanwhile,the active atom in plasma,such as hydrogen atom,can reduce the ignition temperature and speed up combustion.Practical experience shows that the plasma ignition device can ignite large number of pulverized coal powder with much lower thermal energy.
