Comparison of Josephson effect of heavy-fermion superconductor CeTIn5 (T=Co, Ir)

The Josephson effect between a single crystal CeTIn5 (T = Co, Ir) and an s-wave superconductor has been investigated for a current flow along the c-axis of CeTIn5. For CeCoIn5, the magnetic-field modulation of the Josephson critical current has shown an oscillating pattern, which does not contradict with d(x2-y2) superconductivity, while a Fraunhofer-like pattern has been observed for CeIrIn5, suggesting that an s-wave component is induced on the (001) face of CeIrIn5.
