Limits On Nu(Mu) Oscillations From The Measurement Of The Ratio Of O Mu To 1 Mu, Events At The Cern Narrow Band Neutrino Beam

The high precision measurements of the ratio of 0 mu to 1 mu events in nu(mu) N interactions, performed in 1986 by the CDHS and CHARM Collaborations, are used to set limits on neutrino oscillations. The present analysis, an update of a study published in 1988, excludes in the high Delta m(2) region (Delta m(2) > 100 eV(2)) nu(mu)-nu(e) oscillations with sin(2) 2 theta(mu e) > 3 x 10(-3) and nu(mu)-nu(tau) oscillations with sin(2) 2 theta(mu tau) > 6 x 10(-3).
