Dipole And Electric Quadrupole Excitations In S-32 Up To 9.9 Mev

Real photon scattering experiments have been performed on the N=Z nucleus S-32 to investigate energies and absolute strengths of dipole and electric quadrupole excitations up to a maximum energy of E-x =9.9 MeV. Evidence for a 2(+)x3(-) two-phonon state, which is well established in heavier nuclei, is discussed.
