Sequential test of ornidazole and dexamethasone paste on the treatment of acute pericoronitis.

AIM: To observe the effect of ornidazole and dexamethasone paste on the treatment of acute pericoronitis.METHDS: Seventy five patients with acute pericoronitis of the third molar was divided into 2 groups by serial number,even number was in the experimental group and odd number was in the control group.In the experimental group.Ornidazole and dexamethasone paste and iodoglycerin were put into the gingival socket after local flushing.In the control group iodoglycerin was given into the gingival socket after flushing.RESULTS:The effective rate of ornidazole and dexamethasone paste on the treatment of acute pericoronitis was 90 percent.The experimental line reach the U line when the study went to the twentieth different couple.The ornidazole and dexamethasone paste was better than the iodoglycerin.CONCLUSION: The ornidazole and dexamethasone paste is effective to acute pericoronitis.
