New salts derived from BETS and M(dmit)2 molecules with magnetic or long-lived excited states counter-ions

Four crystal phases are obtained from BETS (BETS = bis(ethylenedithio)tetraselenafulvalene) and the [Cu2Cl6](2-) anion. Their synthesis, structures, and properties are presented. The synthesis, structure and properties of the theta-(BETS)(4)[Fe(CN)(5)NO] phase, which involves an anion exhibiting long-lived excited states, is reported. The structure and properties of M(dmit)(2) salts with magnetic cations (metalloceniums, TEMPO) are mentioned.
