A multi-scale image watermarking based on integer wavelet transform and singular value decomposition

•A novel watermarking scheme based on IWT and SVD is proposed.•An optimized authentication mechanism is developed to address the FPP.•Three-dimension optimal mapping is proposed to obtain optimal scaling factors.•The proposed algorithm can be applied to watermarks with different sizes.•Results demonstrate a good performance in both invisibility and robustness.
