Optimization of Multiphase Traffic Signal Timing at Intersection Based on Species Niching Particle Swarm Optimization Algorithm

摘要
According to the traffic flow characteristics at intersection of city way,all non-conflicting combinations of traffic flows are found and the multi-objective optimization model is established to optimize weighting-coefficients of every object. Then the particle swarm optimization algorithm is used to obtain phase and signal timing,in which traffic flow composition (mapping phase) is seen as movement feature component of species niching.Finally a case study with an intersection in Chongqing is given.The results show that the delay and stops at intersection are all reduced,and intersection is optimized.
