Research progress in technologies for the abatement of soot particles from diesel engines

The research significances of technology development for abating diesel soot were introduced.The advance of the post-treatment technologies focused on research and development of catalytic filters which had been used for the abatement of diesel soot particles were reviewed.Some conclusions about coating active species such as the eutectic salt mixture Cs2SO4-V2O5 on wall-flow monoliths were proposed for the status and problems associated with current technologies for the abatement of soot particles from diesel engines,and the future research and development were suggested.
