The protective effects of shenmai injection combined with ligustrazine on septic renal injury in mice

Objective:To investigate the protective effects of Shenmai(SM) injection combined with Ligustrazine on septic renal injury caused by cecal ligation and puncture(CLP) in mice.Methods:Mouse model of sepsis was copied by the cecal ligation and puncture,and treated by Ligustrazine injection(55 mg/kg),Shenmai injection(500 mg/kg) or Shenmai injection(500 mg/kg) combined with Ligustrazine injection(55 mg/kg).The degrees of renal injury and inflammatory reaction were determined at 24 h while the survival rate of mice at 72 h after the model was copied.Results:Ligustrazine injection,Shenmai injection and Shenmai injection combined with Ligustrazine increased the survival rates of sepsis mice,decreased the levels of blood urea nitrogen and creatinine,relieved the renal injury;and decreased the serum levels of IL-6 and TNF-α.Mice that got Shenmai injection combined with Ligustrazine had the best treatment outcomes.Conclusion:Compared with the single drug,Shenmai injection combined with Ligustrazine have the better renal protection effects in sepsis mice.
