摘要
Plasma current behavior is affected by interactions between a cold plasma and a metal object. The plasma charge depends on the surface area of the metal object, which does not provide information regarding the shape of the object. A metal disk has a side edge and a square metal plate has corners. The edge effects associated with the metal disk and plate reflect the relationship between the plasma current and the dynamic electric field due to temporal variation of the applied voltage. When the object has a small surface area, the plasma current is inversely proportional to the dynamic electric field because the side edge is affected. The linear correlation between the plasma current and the dynamic electric field is disrupted by the edge effect. When a metal plate surface area is small, the plasma current does not depend on the dynamic electric field due to the effect of corners.
