An energy-efficient cross-layer model of security for large-scale wireless biosensor networks

As Wireless Biosensor Networks (WBNs) have been garnered lots of attention in the scientific community and the industry during the last years. Mainly motivated by increasing application in many areas and propelled by recent technological advances in miniature biosensing devices, but many constraints make security in WBNs a real challenge and hinder the acceptance and deployment of these networks. An energy-efficient and effective security model was proposed for large scale WBNs. Also, we present a key establishment scheme to enhance the communication security. Analysis and simulation results show that our model can achieve secure data transmission on WBNs and can resist many attacks, and it doesn't cost much overhead. 1548-7741/Copyright © 2012 Binary Information Press.
