A comparison elevation between INSAR DEM and reference DEMS

SAR interferometry is one of the common methods for the generation of digital elevation model (DEM). The goal of this paper is to compare DEMs derived from ERS1/2 tandem data and common methods with the comparison of InSAR DEM and reference DEMs. The study site is in a mountains area. After series pre-processing work, some qualitative and quantitative assessments of the elevation have been used to estimate their differences. The results prove the potential of space borne SAR interferometry such as ERS tandem to be a reliable source for contributing to geographic information database.
