Analysis on urbanization and ecological environmental interactive coupling mechanism and regularity-a case study of Xi'an development pattern evolution

This paper, based on the statistical data from 2002 to 2012 in Xi'an city, builds 15 kinds of urbanization and ecological environmental coordinated development pattern models combined with dynamic and static coordination index, using the comprehensive index evaluation system and score index and comprehensive index scores obtained from Delphi method and weighted sum method. Besides, it analyzes the urbanization and ecological environmental interactive coupling mechanism and regularity for the past 11 years. The results show that in the period of study, Xi 'an urbanization and ecological environment focus mainly on coordination and basic coordinated development pattern, that is to say, urbanization and ecological environment basically stand on the coordinated development track. However, compared with the urbanization with growing demand, its ecological environmental construction pressure will gradually appear as well. Therefore, a reconcile period of strong economy and weak ecology may come out in the future. © Research India Publications.
