Optimization model of lifetime management for large steam turbine units

In contrast to conventional management of large steam turbine units, this paper proposes an innovative model of lifetime management. This model is characterized by integrating management planning with controlling and thus leading to a least overall cost of products. An example by simulative calculation is given. It is shown that least cost planning and controlling provides a justified background for lifetime management modeling to reduce product cost.
