摘要
The compositions of silicate drilling fluid have some effects on its rheology. A set of drilling fluids were preperared, and rheologies of silicate drilling fluids were tested. The results show that the collection of clays and cuttings containing Ca 2+ is the primary factor that disrupts the rheology of silicate drilling fluid, which increases the rheology greatly. Silicates with high ratios can deflocculate bentonite base muds with various concentrations, decrease their viscosity and increase the viscosity of field mud containing much formation clays and additives. The higher the K +/Na + ratio in the silicate is, the smaller the decreasing viscosity effect is, and the greater the viscosifying effect will be. Additive, such as NH 4-PAN, has a poor compatibility for silicate drilling fluid. Salts menifest their customary properties in silicate drilling fluid. The drilling fluids with the same composition and different pH values have the less difference in viscosities after silicate is added.
