Dynamic threshold random early drop algorithm for optimizing performance of network node

When network nodes provide quality of services for multimedia applications, the node buffers are not efficiently utilized due to service policy and resource allocation method. To optimize the utilization of system buffers and reduce the configuration of network nodes, a dynamic threshold random early drop (DthRED) algorithm based on RED is presented in this paper. The feasibility of this algorithm is theoretically analyzed and simulation results are given to show the effectiveness of this algorithm in optimizing the performance of network nodes.
