Nonlinear global optimization based on bisection method

Based on bisection method and fractal, a new algorithm for finding global minimum of a multimodal function in a closed interval is developed, which searches only a little intervals for finding the global minimum. The convergence of the algorithm is given. Numerical results show that the method is practical and effective.
